"I See..." is a series of workshops by ICBC that has consistently sold out since its launch. These are creative workshops with children's books designed by ICBC for children in the setting of wonderful art exhibitions, allowing young children to explore art through the imaginative, innocent, and genuine language of childhood.
ICBC, in collaboration with The Outpost Art Center, is organizing the workshop "I See... "The Curious Adventure of the Moduls: A visual essay on Điềm Phùng Thị’s system of signs" and inviting children to join in exploring the ever-changing world of sculptural modules by artist Diem Phung Thi.
Sculptor Diem Phung Thi is introduced to young Vietnamese readers as an "outstanding talent" through the book "Super Cool Women in Vietnamese History - Volume 3" (Women's Publishing House). The book portrays an artist engrossed in the world of art with a passionate love for sculpture. From this starting point, the workshop "I See - The Curious Adventure of the Moduls: A visual essay on Điềm Phùng Thị’s system of signs" will take young children to the space of "The Curious Adventure of the Moduls: A visual essay on Điềm Phùng Thị’s system of signs" exhibition and introduce them to a warm and approachable portrait of artist Diem Phung Thi – an artist who always "pays attention to how her works can stand/sit/play with people, especially children" (*).
Under the guidance of educational curator Phuong Vu and children's book author Pham Thi Hoai Anh, young children will confidently step into the "innocent creative space" that artist Diem Phung Thi seems to always open to welcome children in her sculptures, especially in her modular system.
